Scottsdale is a city located in northeast Maricopa County, Arizona. It is located approximately 11 miles east of Phoenix and Paradise Valley and is bordered on the north by Carefree, to the south by Tempe. To the east, Scottsdale is bordered by Fountain Hills and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. According to recent census estimates, Scottsdale has a population of 235,677 residents.
